Does a 'no match' mean my item is definitely safe?
No, and we're careful never to say that. A quiet result means no recall matched the brand (and model, if you gave one) in the CPSC, FDA, and EU Safety Gate data we track. It's reassuring, but it isn't a safety guarantee: recalls are often model-specific, and no database covers every registry on earth. Adding a model number makes the check sharper.
What should I do if the audit flags one of my items?
The audit shows a possible match, not a verdict. Open the linked official notice and check it against the model number on your product's label. If it does match, stop using it first, then follow the remedy on the official notice; recalls almost always come with a free repair, replacement, or refund, and you rarely need a receipt, even for secondhand gear.
